Birth place: Gainesville, FL Birthday: June 30 Education: Oxford College of Emory University, GA and Life Christian University, FL Hobbies: Writing poetry, volunteering with youth, reading motivational books and traveling Passion: Helping those in need, being a Sunday school teacher and inspiring young people to see their full potential Accomplishments: I self-published a poetry book and I'm in the process of assisting three other poets. Also, I've been given the privilege to sit on the board of 'Girlstoladies' organization. It has been a honor to be apart of such a splendid group of young ladies. Info: I have one sister, one brother, five nephews and one niece. My mother and father are still together. I was born and raised in Gainesville, FL but I was determined to leave here to further my education. Which took me to the streets of Atlanta, GA and an extension campus back in Gainesville, FL. When I think of my life and some of the circumstances I've endured - it has been a very humbling experience. I've learned to take the good with the bad. The bible states in Romans 8:28, "All things work together for the good of those who love the Lord and who are called according to His purpose." So, these are words that I try to live by, no matter what happens in my life I believe something wonderful is going to come out of it. Whether it be I learn a new lesson, I gain a new friend, something negative on the inside of me is removed, etc. Whatever the situation, I try to be optimistic because we can only get wisdom from our mistakes. In summary, three words that describe me are persistance, compassionate and overcomer. |
